Lonely Planet - PSO J318.5-22

 Lonely Planet - PSO J318.5-22

Sounds interesting right?

Hi! Everyone I am back with another post. So, what's a lonely planet? Can we live there? Will extraterrestrial use these planets as a base? Scroll down below!
Planets in space usually revolve around a star, like the planets in our solar system revolve around the sun.

But one day, when looking for a murky, dim star ( these stars don't emit much light,
It will be harder to find) a group of scientists stumbled upon a planet that was drifting alone in space.
This lonely planet was aimlessly moving around space without a star to keep it warm or as a company!

Why does the planet revolve around a warm star? Stay tuned for the next blog!
This planet also has the same characteristics as any other planet. In fact, It looks like our Jupiter's big sister!

:
What might have happened?
Scientists believe that gravitational forces might have flung this planet away from its star, leaving it in the middle of nowhere with no company. To relate this to the current situation, this planet is social distancing with its fellow planets! 😂
There is also a theory that this planet may have formed an entirely different way, that is unknown to mankind.

The importance of this discovery?
For scientists, this is an exciting find since this is the first good evidence that planets without stars actually exist. What makes it more useful to them is that this planet could help scientists figure out what planets like Jupiter looked like when they first formed.
Facts about this planet,
This planet was found on October 9, 2013, using pan - STARRS PS1 - a wild field telescope.
This planet is only 80 light-years away and is said to be 12 million years old, A newborn considering the universe's age!

We have to conduct further research to find out that we can find out whether we can live there or not. Aliens might use this as a base because it's a perfect place to have a party! 👽🎉

Hope you liked this article... Stay tuned for more!

Bye!!!
