Environmental Issue : 2 - Wildfire is not a season

Hello Everyone! I am back with another post.

Welcoming you to the second article on environmental issues. If you had missed the first one, scroll down below!

Yes, You've read it right, Wildfires is not a season. And it's happening very fast and often. Last year, in September, Australia suffered a lot because of this Wildfire. They had a huge loss in their wild animals, the firefighters, and also lost a huge area of their precious forest.

What are Wildfires?

Wildfires are manmade or natural. If it is natural - When it's too hot and the surface plants and trees will be dried up very easily. If it is manmade - People or farmers use fire to clear the forest area to build infrastructure or to cultivate crops in the space. This sometimes will spread to space where there are fresh plants and trees.

What is the big deal about it?

It is the most frequent and biggest natural/manmade disaster. Many of the animals are endangered now because of this phenomenon. And we are also losing special plants and herbs because of these wildfires. Wildfires also can be called forest fires, brushfires, etc...

The wildfire in Australia almost burned an area of land the size of South Korea according, to the BBC, Killing or harming almost 3 billion animals. The wildfires did not end there - They have raged different kinds of ecosystems, ranging from tundra to rainforests.

This will not end there, scientists are saying that this will be more often if we continue to expand our areas for agriculture. Climate activists are saying that if we use sustainable farming we'd able to feed millions of people.

We have to stop this. Will, our future generation live?

Save our planet by doing your part.

Origin Of Water

O n Earth, water is the most precious. We are using it in our everyday lives.   But did any of you thought where water has been originated from? or When did the water come to our planet? or Did water came from space?  If you've thought like that, you've come to the right blog!. Today we are going to see How did Water originate on Earth? At first, scientists thought that the Water was present from the Early/ Baby Earth. But if the water was present during the volcanic eruptions, It must have been evaporated. In the modern period, Scientists are suggesting two ways that we might have got water:  By comets and asteroids (Rocky material) From the vast cloud of cloud and dust - Solar Nebula, formed along our sun. Earth's water is similar to the ones that are present in the asteroids. That's the one reason scientists are believing that an asteroid bombardment in the Early days of the solar system could have resulted in the origin of water on our planet. The ratio of deuter...

Environmental Issue : 1 - The Big Global Melt

Hi everyone! I am back with another article. So, welcome to the environmental issue series! This series will have a variety of topics focusing on environment and saving our earth for our future.  The Big Global Melt Yes, this is the major problem right now. The Earth is heating up and the glaciers and which are in the Arctic, Antarctic, and even in the Himalayas are melting down. What is the problem? If all the glaciers and icebergs are melting down the water will fill up the continents and our Earth will be covered with water and nothing will able to survive. We have to stop it. A Glacier; Credit: Wikimedia commons This Feb, Antarctica witnessed its hottest temperature on record, resulting in widespread melting of nearby glaciers. During this period, the images show drastic changes in just  nine days.  Then came the news that Antarctica's colossal Thwaites Glacier is melting fast. If the glacier were to collapse, It could lead to an increase in sea ...

Environmental Issue: 3 - Impact of Climate Change on Birds 🐦

Hello everyone, I am back with another post. In this environmental issue, we are going to see what are the impact on birds due to climate change.  Birds in the sky. Credit: Pinterest The timing of birds migration, nesting, hatching and feeding are adapted to specific conditions, such as the availability of suitable habitat and adequate food sources. These factors make birds vulnerable to climate change and global warming. In this article, we can focus the threats faced by the birds in our ecosystem.  Migration pattern. Lack of food. Habitat Loss. Sea - level rise. Lack of sea ice. Migration Pattern: Birds migrate from colder area to a warmer area or from warmer areas to colder area for breeding and reproducing. Due, to the climate change the migration pattern of birds has been changed a lot. Scientists have documented that fewer birds show up in breeding and wintering grounds and they attribute it to the increasing temperature, changing vegetation and extreme weather condition...
