Hello everyone, I am back with another post. In this environmental issue, we are going to see what are the impact on birds due to climate change.  Birds in the sky. Credit: Pinterest The timing of birds migration, nesting, hatching and feeding are adapted to specific conditions, such as the availability of suitable habitat and adequate food sources. These factors make birds vulnerable to climate change and global warming. In this article, we can focus the threats faced by the birds in our ecosystem.  Migration pattern. Lack of food. Habitat Loss. Sea - level rise. Lack of sea ice. Migration Pattern: Birds migrate from colder area to a warmer area or from warmer areas to colder area for breeding and reproducing. Due, to the climate change the migration pattern of birds has been changed a lot. Scientists have documented that fewer birds show up in breeding and wintering grounds and they attribute it to the increasing temperature, changing vegetation and extreme weather condition...

If it is natural - When it's too hot and the surface plants and trees will be dried up very easily. If it is manmade - People or farmers use fire to clear the forest area to build infrastructure or to cultivate crops in the space. This sometimes will spread to space where there are fresh plants and trees.  What is the big deal about it? It is the most frequent and biggest natural/manmade d...

Environmental Issue : 1 - The Big Global Melt

Hi everyone! I am back with another article. So, welcome to the environmental issue series! This series will have a variety of topics focusing on environment and saving our earth for our future.  The Big Global Melt Yes, this is the major problem right now. The Earth is heating up and the glaciers and which are in the Arctic, Antarctic, and even in the Himalayas are melting down. What is the problem? If all the glaciers and icebergs are melting down the water will fill up the continents and our Earth will be covered with water and nothing will able to survive. We have to stop it. A Glacier; Credit: Wikimedia commons This Feb, Antarctica witnessed its hottest temperature on record, resulting in widespread melting of nearby glaciers. During this period, the images show drastic changes in just  nine days.  Then came the news that Antarctica's colossal Thwaites Glacier is melting fast. If the glacier were to collapse, It could lead to an increase in sea ...

NASA'S SOFIA Discover's water on sunlit surface of moon! 🌑

Interesting News!!  NASA showing the H20 particles on the moon. Credit: NASA official NASA's SOFIA - Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy has confirmed for the first time, water on the sunlit surface of the mini. This discovery indicates that water may be distributed across the Lunar surface, Not limited to cold, shadowed places.  This can also be proof that it will rain on the moon occasionally. And the presence of water may also be proof of how water originated on Earth. SOFIA has detected water molecules (H20) in Clavius crater, one of the largest craters visible from Earth, located in the moon's southern hemisphere. The picture showing Clavius crater Credit: Wikimedia Commons Previous observations of the Moon’s surface detected some form of hydrogen but were unable to distinguish between water and its close chemical relative, hydroxyl (OH).  Data from this location is equal to a 12-ounce bottle of water - trapped in a cubic meter of soil, that is spread ac...

Lonely Planet - PSO J318.5-22 Sounds interesting right? Hi! Everyone I am back with another post. So, what's a lonely planet? Can we live there? Will extraterrestrial use these planets as a base? Scroll down below! Planets in space usually revolve around a star, like the planets in our solar system revolve around the sun. But one day, when looking for a murky, dim star ( these stars don't emit much light, It will be harder to find) a group of scientists stumbled upon a planet that was drifting alone in space. This lonely planet was aimlessly moving around space without a star to keep it warm or as a company! Why does the planet revolve around a warm star? Stay tuned for the next blog!  This planet also has the same characteristics as any other planet. In fact, It looks like our Jupiter's big sister! : What might have happened? Scientists believe that gravitational forces might have flung this planet away from its star, leaving it in the middle of nowhere with no company. ...
